enjoyable driving experience every time. One of the most important factors of a safe driving experience is the maintenance and overall condition of the vehicle itself. It is crucial before attempting to drive any car that you know it is in proper running condition, and having brakes that are in great condition, are at the top of that checklist.

Over the years, there have been many vehicle companies announcing recalls due to vehicle brake issues and defects. There are many important parts to a good running vehicle, and if they are not working efficiently, they can cause a vehicle to stall or not start at all. Brake defects can be the scariest of all because they stop or slow down a vehicle for parking, stop signs, traffic lights, train tracks or simply to keep from hitting another vehicle or pedestrian. Knowing your brakes are in good, safe condition is a vital part of driving safely.

Honda is the latest in the news to announce a recall due to brake issues with Honda and its Acura vehicles. The recall states that there are problems with ‘inadvertent braking’, which may have something to do with “complex electronic controlling” issues, according to a March 14th USA Today article. The recall includes almost 183,000 U.S.  vehicles, and many other Acura SUV’s and sedans from the 2005 model year, and over 800 Acura  2006 models are also involved in the recall.
