Consequences of Not Changing Your Oil

Your oil change light has come on a few times and your car keeps trying to tell you that is needs maintenance, but you go about your day ignoring it. This could be catastrophic for your vehicle. It is imperative to make sure your vehicle has regular maintenance. That doesn’t mean if you let it go over 500 miles or you miss a month that your car is going to break down then and there, but it does mean your vehicle is going to have to work harder to do things it used to do easily; mainly running.

Oil is like the blood in your body, you 100% need it to run, your body can filter out some of the bad things but sometimes it needs a little help. Now we don’t need to have blood transfusions regularly like an oil change but that is because when our blood gets low it can regenerate itself, you never have to refill with oil. A Vehicle needs oil to run and it is extremely dangerous to let your oil run low. If your oil runs low that it can burn inside the engine and if it is burning you can only imagine the other things being damage inside the engine.

If you are making sure the oil is kept full you have a better chance of not ruining your engine completely, but it still needs changing. There is a oil filter that is there to collect dirt but it can only do so much. If the filter fills up all the dirt it should be collecting will go into your engine and destroy and corrode anything it can.

If you only do one thing to your vehicle make sure that is oil changes! And gas up… you need gas to drive!
